How to apply

We are a talented multi-disciplinary team passionate about our heritage, and we are always interested in hearing from prospective candidates. We aim to give employees a varied experience – sometimes taking them out of their comfort zone – and strive to share our wealth of experience whilst enabling a sense of ownership over projects. You could be involved in a range of projects of varying scales and types, from householder alterations to strategies for urban redevelopment, and from conservation and traditional restoration to innovative contemporary design in the historic environment. Whilst our daily activities can vary on a day-to-day basis, the main body of the work in our studios relates to the historic environment. If you would like experience in working in an academic, yet dynamic environment, please get in touch via info@heritagearchitecture.co.uk.

Stephen Levrant Prize

Each year, Heritage Architecture Ltd awards the Stephen Levrant Prize to several students from Post-graduate conservation courses at Oxford Brookes University (OBU), The University of York (UOY) and the University of Manchester (UOM). The prize winner is offered a three-month internship with us once they have completed their degrees, which offers valuable experience within the industry, allowing the successful candidate to be involved in various projects of varying scales and types. Award winners in recent years include Mirna Petric and Yuliia Shamne (2022, University of York) and Robert Barnett (2021, OBU). Cath Layton (2019, OBU), Claire Jackson (2020, OBU), and Sabrina Kuusisto (winner 2023, OBU) have all stayed on at the practice as full-time employees. Isobel Conlon (2024, University of York) is our most recent winner.

University of Westminster Work Placements

Heritage Architecture also has an ongoing relationship with the University of Westminster. Each year we welcome a student from the Architecture Undergraduate course for a two-week work placement, to provide experience of working in a conservation-specialist practice. In January 2023 Fatima Arif joined the team, and we hope that her experience at the practice will inspire her to work in the heritage sector in the future.
